Rudi Voller, managing director of Bayer Leverkusen, believes that Kai Havertz can continue to play for one of the world’s elite clubs.
“He’s a world-class athlete now, that’s what he was before. Now, there’s even more attention on him,” he said to Sky Sports on Wednesday. “At some stage he’ll go to an utter world class club.”
Such a stunning influence in Europe has not gone overlooked abroad, with Liverpool, Manchester United and Bayern Munich also keeping an eye on the youngster.
However, Voller hopes to count on his services for some time more. At the same time, he confesses the chances of that happening are slim
“I’m honest, I always have such a small hope that we can and will keep him here for another year,” explained the former Germany international and 1990 World Cup winner when asked about Havertz’s future at the club.
