Ruben Dias, Bruno Fernandes, Cristiano Ronaldo Will All Play for Portugal in Euro 2020

Fernando Santos’ men have announced their 26-man squad for Euro 2020. And Ruben Dias, Bruno Fernandes, Cristiano Ronaldo will all play for Portugal in Euro 2020 – talk about a super team!

Few predicted Portugal would win Euro 2016 five years ago, but they defied the odds by beating host country France.

They won then thanks to a late goal by former Swansea striker Eder in extra-time.

Now, they are seeking back-to-back European Championship titles.

On June 15, Portugal will face Hungary in Budapest and will begin to defend their European Championship title.

Four days later, they will clash forces with 2014 World Cup winners Germany in Munich.

Finally, they will be concluding their Group F campaign on June 23 in Budapest. There they reface the finalists they beat in 2016 for the title and current world champions France.

Ruben Dias, Bruno Fernandes, Cristiano Ronaldo Will All Play for Portugal in Euro 2020

Ruben Dias just won the FWA Footballer of the Year award, becoming the first defender to win in 32 years. Having just joined Manchester City in September 2020, Dias is already touted by football critics as their best defender.

Bruno Fernandes is in the race to become Manchester United’s Best Player of this season, after his spectacular attacking form. He has registered 24 goals and 14 assists to his name this season.

Finally, Cristiano Ronaldo may be suffering a lack of form this season with Juventus, but he remains a world-class forward. He was captain of the Portugal team that won Euro 2016, after all.

And these three superstars will all be on the Portugal roster, giving them a good chance to defend their title.
