Pochettino Wants to Return to Tottenham from PSG

Paris Saint-Germain head coach Mauricio Pochettino, who managed Tottenham from 2014 to 2019, could return to Spurs. Pochettino wants to return to Tottenham from PSG, with whom he’s run into problems.

According to The Athletic, the London club is currently in talks with the Argentine specialist to bring him back.

The coach is attracted to the idea of a possible return of the fan favourite to Tottenham.

Spurs scandalously replaced him with Jose Mourinho, which backfired because the move did not bring any trophies to the club.

For this very reason, they recently fired Mourinho, with Ryan Mason acting as the caretaker manager.

He’s managing the club while they seek other options, one being to return the coach most popular with their fans.

Spurs president Daniel Levy is also a supporter of the idea of bringing back the 49-year-old. He wants to mend the club owners’ relationship with the fans after Spurs’ disastrous involvement in Super League angered them.

Pochettino Wants to Return to Tottenham from PSG

Meanwhile, Mauricio Pochettino, who took charge of PSG in January, won the French Cup and Super Cup with the team.

On the other hand, he failed to lead them to victory in Ligue 1. Plus, the Parisians crashed out of the Champions League at the semi-final stage.

Pochettino’s contract with PSG runs for another year. However, he is not very comfortable in Paris and has some problems coach there.

Pochettino was excited about the opportunity to work with a European top club.

However, he now faces the same internal club problems as Thomas Tuchel did at PSG before him.

He has now also realised that his role at PSG is far inferior to the one he had at Tottenham.

For that reason, the Argentine is seriously considering a return to Tottenham, who are attracted to him as an option.

The coach knows that the Londoners’ fans still love him dearly and the specialist himself would like to work in the EPL.

As for Real, they’re likely to resist changing coaches again as Tuchel left the club only a few months ago.

Still, if Pochettino decided to return to Tottenham, he would have to split his deal with PSG.
