Juventus head coach Andrea Pirlo has shared his expectations for the second leg of the Champions League 1/8 final against Porto (1-2 in the first game).
“We are very aware that the pressure is on our shoulders, but we are not hiding from it. We have everything to go on, but we will not underestimate our opponent,” Pirlo said as per BBC.
He continued to say: “Porto is a very good, tough team, but we are Juventus, we have to think about getting to the next round.
“We must not go wrong tomorrow. We will have to be as energetic and focused as possible throughout the game.”
“Chiellini has been training in the general group, feels good and I think he will be available tomorrow. De Ligt has only warmed up with the team and then worked separately,” he observed.
“Arthur is not 100% ready, but he can start the match in the starting lineup. We hope he will be able to play as long as necessary.
“Bernardeschi is fine and has a chance to start the game from the first minute, but the decision will be made tomorrow. McKennie is doing well enough, but there’s a long-standing problem. He can’t play all 90 minutes, so we’re trying to manage his time as smartly as possible.
“Morata has improved a lot, he’s a very ambitious forward. He’s looking for his own approach to each team, he likes to ‘read’ the opponents and that’s great for a striker at such a high level.”
