The Serie A match between Juventus and Napoli may be in doubt due to COVID-19. But trending reports call head coach Andrea Pirlo ready for Juventus-Napoli.
Another match between the two sides, back in October, ended up not being played; again, due to COVID restrictions. Then, the Napoli side was hit by a minor coronavirus outbreak, and so, couldn’t travel to Turin.
Now however, despite three Juve players testing positive after international play, Turin health authorities proceed with the match. They said there was no reason for the match to not continue.
Be that as it may, reports find Pirlo ready for Juventus-Napoli.
Pirlo is in his first season in charge at Juventus, and already on thin ice with Juve’s management. They may sack the rookie coach, should his side lose to Napoli.
As was then, now too, Juventus need this win to climb up from their fourth place in Serie A.
And Pirlo told a news conference ahead of today’s match: “We respect the protocol as always but we respect what the (health authority) says and decides.
“We will do as we have always done and prepare in the best way possible to be ready to play the game.”
