Mircea Lucescu Is the New Manager for FC Dynamo Kyiv

Romania’s top football coach Mircea Lucescu was publicly appointed as FC Dynamo Kyiv’s new manager.

A tweet by FC Dynamo Kyiv’s official account confirmed the news.

Lucescu was at the helm of Dynamo’s most-principled opponent FC Shakhtar Donetsk from 2004 to 2016.

Following this, he worked for Russian Zenit St Petersburg and Turkey national team.

Being hired by the Dynamo club marks the return of the star coach to Ukraine after a four-year pause.

The contract specifics were not stated according to the official web site of the team.

“I hope that with the arrival of his coaching team, Dynamo Kyiv’s victorious traditions will be revived, that he will win many titles, and that the fans will evaluate Mircea with his results. Good luck to him, good luck! I’ll help him with anything I can,” said club president Ihor Surkis.
