Zlatan Ibrahimovic’s contract is apparently due to be renewed, with the Milan veteran expected to be paid the same amount.
Ibrahimovic signed a one-year contract extension last summer. This means that he will continue to play for Milan until his 40th birthday in October.
His desire to continue at the highest level has been reinforced by his national team return for Euro 2020 this summer.
Ibrahimovic said that he was “confident” of reaching a deal with the Diavolo.
The newspaper further reports that the document would be signed without issue.
The club want him to stay for 2021-22, with the Milan veteran expected to be paid the same terms as his previous €7 million-per-season contract.
According to the newspaper, Rossoneri believes he has justified his wages from the previous year.
