Former Inter defender Lucio thinks Inter can break Juventus’ supremacy in Italy. He said Antonio Conte’s squad has “all the credentials” to do so.
Lucio joined Inter on a free transfer after a fruitful spell at Bayern Munich.
At Inter, he helped the Nerazzurri to the Treble in 2009-10.
However, the Brazilian spent one season at Juventus, winning the Scudetto with the Bianconeri as well.
This was with Inter being under new coach Conte.
And with experience of both sides, Lucio thinks Inter can break Juventus’ supremacy.
“I watch fewer games than I would like but Inter finally has all the credentials to end Juve’s dominance,” Lucio told La Gazzetta dello Sport.
“It’s strange to see [Antonio] Conte on the Nerazzurri bench, but what matters in football are the results and he’s getting them.
“He works a lot on the physical aspect, Inter is quick in the transition from defense to attack and can count on a couple of exceptional strikers.
“I hope that [captain Samir] Handanovic and his team can reach the same goals as my Inter over the years.”
Also, Lucio lauded Belgian striker Romelu Lukaku.
