According to sources, Inter will Nicol Barella grant the captaincy in the future.
Barella, who turned 24 just a few months ago, has already established himself as one of the team’s true leaders and is flourishing at San Siro.
They are even negotiating a new deal for the midfielder.
The Nerazzurri, according to the Corriere della Sera, are willing to keep the young Italy international happy in case major overseas clubs come calling. Hence, they are offering him the captaincy.
He was signed from Cagliari for €40 million in 2019 and is now under contract for €2.5 million a season.
According to the Corriere della Sera, plans are to almost double that to €4.5 million per season.
