Hoffenheim sacked coach Alfred Schreuder just four games before the season’s end the Bundesliga club said on Tuesday.
Hoffenheim is seventh on 43 points and fighting for next season’s Europa League spot. Other Club coaches would steer the side through the remaining games.
Schreuder, who had a contract till 2022, had arrived from Ajax Amsterdam at the start of the season.
He was let go over differences in how they think the team should develop. His brother and assistant Dick Schreuder will also leave according to Reuters.
“In important issues of detail, we had different opinions so that the collaboration past the season end made no sense,” sports director Alexander Rosen said in a statement.
“Unfortunately, we could not agree on a common path for the future of the team,” Schreuder himself said. “I regret this development but it is not unusual to have different opinions in your professional life.”
