Inter defender Achraf Hakimi’s agent is ruling nothing out heading towards the summer transfer window. If there’s any truth in Alejandro Camano’s ambiguous hints, Hakimi may transfer from Inter to Bayern Munich in the summer.
Achraf Hakimi’s representative Alejandro Camano told Goal and SPOX about the reports linking Hakimi to Bayern Munich: “I don’t know where those rumours come from.”
Addressing speculations that his client could be targeted by the reigning Bundesliga champions, Camano added: “But it wouldn’t surprise me if FC Bayern were interested in Achraf. No one from FC Bayern has contacted me.”
“Achraf is very happy at Inter,” he said. “He doesn’t think about anything else… But who wouldn’t want to play for FC Bayern?”
Hakimi may be ready to leave Inter towards the summer transfer window. However, he is tied to a long-term contract at Inter and has no release clause included that deal.
According to the information obtained by Goal and SPOX, it would take at least €50m (£43m/$60m) for negotiations to commence.
Bayern have already committed to buying RB Leipzig centre-half Dayot Upamecano for €42.5m (£37m/$51m).
So, the Bundesliga leaders are reluctant about any more big-money agreements in the next window.
Moreover, they will soon have new manager Julian Nagelsmann, also from Leipzig, on their wage bill as well. And he’s arriving on a record deal worth up to €25m.
Only if funds are freed up from sales, can Bayern think about opening talks for Hakimi.
Further, even if Bayern do negotiate, Real retain first refusal on Hakimi and call him back to Santiago Bernabeu.
They would want to step in and prevent their defender’s services retained by dangerous European rivals, Bayern Munich.
So, while Hakimi may transfer from Inter to Bayern, it won’t come about without it’s fair share of obstacles.
