Erling Haaland could be at the center of one of the biggest transfer tussles in history this summer. And Haaland may go to Manchester City, despite several of Europe’s top clubs vying for his signature.
His father, Alf-Inge was pictured in Spain last week along with his agent, Mino Raiola.
They arrived there for talks with Barcelona and Real Madrid regarding the 20-year-old forward’s future.
He may also move to the Premier League, possibly, because Manchester United identified the forward as their priority target.
United are hunting him for as their new striker, whereas Manchester City reportedly are the favorites to land him.
The striker has a release clause put into effect in 2022, which means Borussia Dortmund will have to sell him this summer. The release clause is around £60m.
The Bundesliga side must sell the Norway international soon if they are to maximize their earnings from the sale.
Meanwhile, some United fans have speculated on Twitter about Haaland donning a baby blue rucksack.
He sported a blue when checking into The Lowry Hotel.
Fans’ comments on it seem to imply that Haaland may go to Manchester City. The blue bag doesn’t bode well for United’s chances of signing the forward, per their fans.
