Pep Guardiola is a good candidate to succeed Joachim Low as Germany’s coach, per Ilkay Gundogan. Gundogan said about Pep – ‘I would personally hire him instantly’.
At a news conference, on Tuesday according to the beINSports, Gundogan said about Pep: “I would personally hire him instantly but I think that would be difficult as he is not currently available.”
If the Manchester City manager becomes available, though, Gundogan will welcome his appointment as Low’s replacement.
Gundogan has played the last five seasons at the Etihad Stadium under the coach. And he is having his best season in terms of goal involvements.
So, he also said: “I also don’t know if I would like to be without him at City. Besides, I owe a lot to Joachim and I want him to leave on a high.”
Low revealed earlier this month that he would step down as the national team’s coach.
He’d do so after the postponed European Championship finals, which are set to start in June.
