Manchester City midfielder Ilkay Gündogan has been named the best player in the EPL for February.
Fulham defender Joakchim Andersen, Leicester midfielder Harvey Barnes, Manchester City defender Joao Cancelo, Man Utd midfielder Bruno Fernandes, West Ham United midfielder Jesse Lingard, Wolverhampton midfielder Ruben Neves and Leeds midfielder Rafinha were also in competition for the award.
However, the German scored four goals and one assist in five games, and thus performed best.
Moreover, Gündogan became the first player in the club’s history to win the trophy twice in a row.
He also became the first German to win the award more than once.
