After Celtic was taken to a goalless draw at Dundee United, the Rangers were crowned Scottish Premiership champions for the first time since 2011.
So, Steven Gerrard has won his first major league title as a player, with Rangers currently having an unassailable 20-point lead in the league table.
Gerrard, a former Liverpool and England player, took over as Rangers manager in 2018 and has since put an end to Celtic’s reign of terror.
Rangers won 3-0 at Ibrox on Saturday, putting the title within their reach.
And Celtic’s inability to score at Tannadice handed the trophy to the Rangers.
Rangers were relegated to Scotland’s fourth tier following the financial crisis in 2012, but they have slowly recovered – and have now denied Celtic a record-breaking 10th straight top-flight title.
They’ve even boasted of their recent success on Twitter.
