Atalanta head coach Gian Piero Gasperini is one of the candidates for a similar position at Tottenham. Gasperini could be the new Tottenham head coach because the Spurs have been in contact with him.
The London club has already been in contact with the 63-year-old, reports Sky Sport Deutschland.
Spurs fired Jose Mourinho from his post as manager just a week before they lost the EFL Cup final.
Ryan Mason guided the team through that failed final, and is coaching them currently, as their caretaker or interim manager.
Tottenham are sixth in the EPL table, two points behind fifth-placed West Ham.
Gasperini Could Be the New Tottenham Head Coach
It was previously reported that Tottenham are in talks with former Chelsea and Juventus coach Maurizio Sarri.
Meanwhile, we deemed Julian Nagelsmann the best-suited to the job at Spurs. However, Bayern Munich wasted no time in poaching the young coach from RB Lepizig.
Besides Nagelsmann, we also tipped Nuno Espirito Santo, Diego Simeone, Brendan Rodgers, Steven Gerrard, Max Allegri, and Rafa Benitez to be ideal for the role.
The club has also been linked with former RB Leipzig coach Ralf Rangnick.
They even showed interest in Erik ten Hag, who is with Ajax. And his Ajax club immediately extended his contract just a few days ago, perhaps after these links sprouted.
None of these suggested coaches are quite as available nor as perfect as Gasperini for Tottenham.
