Andrea Barzagli has already agreed to leave the staff of Juventus to Maurizio Sarri’s care.
Although the contract was to run until June 2022, La Stampa – backed by a number of other sources, including Sportitalia and Tuttomercatoweb – reported that Barzagli had decided to leave.
He wore the Juve jersey from January 2011 until his retirement at the end of the last season. The 39-year-old retired in June 2019 and took some time off before he agreed to return to work as assistant manager for Sarri in Turin.
It was only on September 25 that he was given the task of working with the defenders, including his former teammates Giorgio Chiellini and Leonardo Bonucci.
Now, already, he confirms resigning from the post of assistant manager to the Juve team.
