Defender Eric Bailly is fearing being offered a new contract by Manchester United, writes Sky Sports.
This is because he thinks it’s just in order to sell him for a bargain in the summer.
Bailly has told friends that he believes coach Ole Gunnar Solskjaer will never put him in the starting line-up.
“Erik loves the club and the fans, his family has settled in Manchester. He would like to spend the rest of his career at Old Trafford,” said a friend of the player.
“But he feels the club is very disrespectful to him. No matter what he does, Ole will never put him in the main squad.”
So, the offer of a new contract could mean that Man Utd only want to sell the player for a higher price in the summer.
The player has 15 months left on his current deal. The club and the player are reportedly close to signing a new deal.
