Sky Sports claims Manchester United bosses have no intention to fire Ole Gunnar Solskjaer despite all the speculation going around. Though latest transfer rumours cited an Old Trafford exit, Manchester United won’t replace Solskjaer till the end of the season.

Gossip around Solskjaer’s security in his role as Manchester United head coach has been intense for many months now.

And now, Solskjaer has led United toward a victory at Spurs along with a 2-2 Champions League draw at Atalanta.

This Champions League football match kept United at the top of their Champions League group last week.

So, all in all, these recent causes for some celebration seemed to have calmed the situation at Old Trafford down.

However, Manchester United’s 2-0 loss to Manchester City on Saturday reignited the questions over the Norwegian manager’s future there.

Speaking following that Manchester derby, though, Gary Neville suggested United would not make a decision about Solskjaer made any time soon.

Neville hinted that the head coach would retain his position at least until after the departure of Ed Woodward.

Woodward was Manchester United’s managing director but he announced his imminent departure at the year’s end (the football news).
