Ligue 1 Football Scores – Messi Debuted in PSG’s 0-2 Win over Reims

Reims took on Paris Saint-Germain in the fourth Ligue 1 round with Lionel Messi making his debut as a substitute. And PSG won the football match, which head coach Mauricio Pochettino later appreciated, over their Ligue 1 rivals. So, among other Ligue 1 football scores, Messi debuted in PSG’s 0-2 win over Reims, away with the new club. Watch these football results develop in a highlights’ video.

PSG newcomer Lionel Messi started the match on the bench and only entered the pitch at the 66th minute, replacing Neymar.

With just 25 minutes remaining on the clock, however, Messi couldn’t make any impact on the game.

Though Messi was in the limelight debuting his number 30 for PSG, it was Kylian Mbappe who stole the show.

Mbappe, featuring heavily in the football news coming out of PSG today, added his name on the scoreboard twice. In other words, he was the sole goal scorer in PSG’s 0-2 lead over Reims in Ligue 1.

Kylian Mbappe’s opening goal came just 16 minutes in, with the Frenchman heading the ball precisely inside the right post.

The 22-year-old star striker then doubled the score and his goals in the match in the second half.

He thus secured 3 points for Mauricio Pochettino’s squad which means they’re now first in the standings. They are leading right before the international break, too.
