Paris Saint-Germain director Leonardo has affirmed that Kylian Mbappe does indeed want to join Real Madrid. In other words, Leonardo has confirmed Mbappe’s wish for a football transfer away from PSG, preferably to Real Madrid.
Mbappe dominated domestically with the Parisians but PSG still only placed second to Lille in Ligue 1 last time out.
Moreover, because Mbappe’s PSG also failed to win the Champions League, the forward is looking for a new sporting project.
Consequently, Mbappe has rejected PSG’s contract extension offers and instead, openly demanded a move away from PSG for some time.
So, it seems only a matter of time that he will transfer. He will likely do so either this summer, somehow, or at the end of this new season.
Leonardo Has Confirmed Mbappe’s Wish for a Football Transfer
Real Madrid appears to be the most likely, as well as most prioritized and dreamt of, destination for Kylian Mbappe.
And, as such, we reported only yesterday the football news that Los Blancos have submitted a €160 million opening bid.
However, this is allegedly €40 million less than PSG’s asking price for Kylian Mbappe.
Even PSG director Leonardo now insists that the club will not sell the French forward at just any price. Leonardo refuses the possibility of selling Mbappe for anything less than what they paid Monaco for his services in 2018.
Leonardo gave an update on the saga to RMC according to Fabrizio Romano on Tuesday afternoon, saying: “Kylian Mbappé wants to join Real Madrid and we will not hold him back. We said no to Madrid’s first offer, but if our conditions are met, we’ll see.”
So, the two parties still have a long way to go before they arrive at a mutually satisfactory deal.
