Hosts Granada won 2-1 over Alavés their guests in the Spanish first tier league, with football scores similar to the ones Union Berlin used to defeat RB Leipzig at Berlin, in Germany, in their domestic top flight Bundesliga. Thus, in last night’s La Liga football results, Granada beat Alavés 2-1 despite an own goal.
The Spanish top flight club did so at the Nuevo Estadio de Los Cármenes stadium, their home ground in Granada.
La Liga Football Results – Granada Beat Alavés 2-1 despite an Own Goal
In Granada, Spain (AP), substitute Santiago Arias scored a late goal to break a 1-1 deadlock with Alavés. This goal also helped Granada recover from an own goal.
And this is how Granada secure a 2-1 win at home over Alavés in the Spanish league on Friday.
Arias struck the winner with four minutes remaining, shortly after Granada’s own goal mistake.
Then, defender Luis Abram swept a cross by Alavés into his own net with a poor clearance attempt for 1-1.
Initially, Granada had gone ahead in the 14th minute via a goal by Antonio Puertas.
Granada coach Robert Moreno missed the game to serve the second of a two-game suspension. He received this sanction for protesting during a loss to Real Madrid three rounds ago.
But despite his absence, his team rose above visitors Alavés into 15th place.
Meanwhile, Alavés, who are in 16th place, are just two points above the relegation zone before the remaining round commences.
