Toni Kroos still wants Kylian Mbappe to join Real Madrid after missing out on the Paris Saint-Germain forward last month. Indeed, Kroos hopes to become teammates with Mbappe at Real Madrid real soon, by next summer, optimistically.
Toni Kroos is optimistic that Real Madrid will finally sign Kylian Mbappe, whom Manchester City are also vetting, next year.
He’s stated this after Real Madrid’s failed attempt to sign the Paris Saint-Germain star during the previous transfer window.
PSG reportedly turned down three bids from Real Madrid for the France international in July and August (the football news). The last of these offers was reportedly worth around €200 million.
Though Real couldn’t secure Mbappe this summer, he will become a free agent at the end of the season.
Then, he can finally sign a pre-contract agreement with Real Madrid – or any other foreign club – as early as January.
Kroos Hopes to Become Teammates with Mbappe at Real Madrid
Meanwhile, Toni Kroos has previously expressed interest in bringing in Kylian Mbappe to Real Madrid. Also, Kroosremains eager to work with the 22-year-old in 2022.
“In the summer, I already said that I would like a player like him to come, but if he doesn’t, we have a good team,” he told Goal.
“Let’s see what happens in the future. It is difficult for me to say, because I am not the one who decides.
“His quality has not changed – he is a good player and what we know is that Madrid wanted to sign him but, in the end, they didn’t succeed. Everything continues, also without Mbappe here.
“I think we are doing well and for the future, my opinion has not changed: the best players have to be at Madrid, and he is sure to be one of them.”
