Borussia Dortmund likely won’t sell Erling Haaland this month, but the star striker may definitely leave the club next year. Or not? According to Marco Rose, young Norwegian international Erling Haaland may stay at Borussia Dortmund beyond the next season’s closure too. So, among other similar and equally compelling football transfer news, Rose says Haaland may stay at Dortmund beyond 2022 too.
Haaland was going to be a transfer target for Chelsea, Manchester United, and Manchester City, among other major European clubs.
But despite such hype ahead of the current transfer window, came the football news – Haaland would remain loyal to Dortmund. He would not push for a football transfer, this summer, at least and he may do so after this season.
Football Transfer News – Rose Says Haaland May Stay at Dortmund
However, Borussia Dortmund’s new coach Marco Rose has insisted that may not be necessarily the case, citing Haaland’s three-year contract.
“He still has a long-term contract with us,” former Borussia Monchengladbach boss Rose told Sport Bild.
Speaking after Dortmund’s DFL-Supercup defeat to Bayern Munich (football results) Rose added:
“Just because the public is constantly talking about him leaving next summer, that doesn’t necessarily have to be the case.
“In the end, Erling has to decide for himself where he sees his future. In any case, we are happy that he is currently playing for us.
“Who knows, possibly it’ll be even more than just one season if we write an extraordinary story here.”
