Football Transfer News – PSG Are Sure Mbappe Will Sign a New Contract

Despite strong interest for a football transfer from Real Madrid, Paris Saint-Germain forward Kylian Mbappe has had to stay put. So, after they refused Real Madrid’s exorbitant bids for him this summer in football transfer news, PSG are sure Mbappe will sign a new contract.

After Real Madrid failed to sign Kylian Mbappe during the recent transfer window, current contract with Paris expires next year. He will be a free agent in June 2022, during the summer transfer window then.

But Real Madrid are most likely going to try to sign the France international before that, in January 2022.

However, Paris Saint-Germain sporting director Leonardo is confident that Kylian Mbappe will sign a new contract with the French giants.

Much in the way that PSG president Nasser Al-Khelaifi refused offers for Mbappe (transfer rumours), Leonardo is sure he’ll stay.

As things stand, World Cup winner Kylian Mbappe will be free to negotiate a pre-contract with Los Blancos in January.

However, Paris Saint-Germain’s sporting director Leonardo is confident that the 22-year-old will stay in Paris instead of moving to Spain.

“I don’t see Mbappe leaving at the end of this season. Nobody is thinking about the future of Paris Saint-Germain without Kylian,” Leonardo told Canal Plus.

“Kylian sort of represents the difference between the superficial and the deep. Kylian’s relationship with Paris Saint-Germain is deep. That’s why we don’t think about anything else.

“Kylian represents many things. Not only because he is French or one of the best players in the world. He has a way of being that we like and one that everyone likes.”
