Manchester City and John Stones are reportedly close to reaching an agreement on a new £175,000-per-week contract. So, among other news of football today, Stones may make a new deal with City soon.
John Stones’ current contract at the Etihad Stadium is going to expire on June 30th of next year, 2022.
There was speculation about the center-back’s future early last season, but recent updates from Manchester City dismissed a football transfer.

According to The Mirror, John Stones is close to signing a new contract that will increase his weekly salary.
The former Barnsley youngster now stands to earn as much as £175,000 per week at City.
The 27-year-old had a strong club season in 2020-21 before he played for England in Euro 2020 (the football news). He then helped England reach the final of the European Championships this summer.
Now, Stones has been given extra time to recover from Euro 2020. And he will thus miss Saturday’s Community Shield match against Leicester City.
Manchester City are also allegedly in contract talks with Raheem Sterling. However, a recent report claimed that the two parties may have stalled discussions as of now.
