After Pele provided an update on his health, the football news broke that he’d had to extract a tumour. This was just days ago, but thankfully in news of football today, Pele is recovering fast from his surgery.
Brazil’s Pele is one of only four players in World Cup history to score in four different tournaments.
Recently, his own admission revealed that Pele has been in the hospital with a tumour since the end of August.
The Brazil legend has been in Sao Paulo’s Albert Einstein Hospital since August 31. There, he has been undergoing routine tests to combat a colon tumour, that is, a tumour in his large intestine.
But now, on Friday, he has revealed that he is on the mend from the operation to remove his tomour.

Pele is still in the hospital. But he is doing well after undergoing surgery to remove a tumour from his large intestine.
Following up on his Monday post in which he revealed he had undergone surgery, Brazil’s all-time leading goal scorer provided another update on his health on Instagram.
“My friends, with each passing day I feel a little better,” Pele posted on Friday.
“I’m looking forward to playing again, but I’m still going to recover for a few more days.
“While I’m here, I take the opportunity to talk a lot with my family and to rest. Thanks again for all the loving messages. We’ll be together again soon!”
