Football Today – Pele Had Surgery to Extract a Tumour

Pele has provided an update on his health, after being in the hospital for a surgery to remove a tumour. So, among other alarming news in football today, Pele had surgery to extract a tumour recently, and it was successful.

Legendary footballer Pele has revealed that he successfully underwent surgery to remove a tumour from his large intestine last week.

The three-time World Cup winner from Brazil had previously taken to Instagram to deny claims that he had fainted recently.

Then, he had firmly written to inform his fans that he was “in very good health” after undergoing “routine exams.”

Now however, Pele has had to come out to the world explain his condition on Monday.

He has allegedly remained in the hospital since the time the concerned rumours around his health started to circulate, and the reason was this dangerous tumour that needed surgery.

“Last Saturday I underwent surgery to remove a suspicious lesion in the right colon,” the 80-year-old wrote on his Instagram.

“The tumour [that doctors] identified during the tests I mentioned last week. Fortunately, I’m used to celebrating great victories alongside you,” Pele went on to explain on this official social media page.

“I will face this match with a smile on my face, a lot of optimism and joy for living surrounded by the love of my family and friends.”
