Jorge Mendes, Cristiano Ronaldo’s agent, is in talks with Manchester City, but the deal negotiations have arrived at some complications. After the Juventus forward contacted players in news of football today, now, City must meet three conditions to sign Ronaldo.
Cristiano Ronaldo Jr. joined Juventus from Real Madrid in 2018 for €112 million. Since then, he has scored 101 goals in 134 appearances for the Bianconeri.
Ronaldo’s contract with Juventus expires in June 2022, and Juventus still insist he has never expressed a desire to leave.
However, some transfer rumours say that he is indeed attempting to leave the Bianconeri during the current summer transfer window.
Football Today – City Must Meet Three Conditions to Sign Ronaldo
As it happens, according to Sky Sport Italia, Manchester City are the only viable club interested in signing CR7.
But the Premier League champions are out of time to complete the deal. After all, the summer transfer window closes on August 31.
However, believe it or not, this sensitive time window isn’t the only factor complicating the deal right now.
Though Ronaldo hoped for a deal by this weekend itself, Manchester City must first meet three conditions to sign CR7.
According to Italian media, the Citizens are unwilling to pay Juventus a transfer fee to sign Ronaldo. The Old Lady requires €25-30 million for their most popular player if they wish to avoid a capital loss.
They would even be open to signing on City’s Gabriel Jesus in a swap deal, an alternative to monetary compensation.
But Premier League giants Manchester City does not want to sell the Brazilian striker.
However, Pep Guardiola’s side will likely have to sell one striker in order to welcome Ronaldo.
And, according to the report, Raheem Sterling could be on his way out of the Etihad Stadium.
Here the same issue as before arises because Manchester City don’t have much time to even sell the England winger.
