Portugal have as runners-up in the Group A, despite leading the group until this winner-takes-all game.

Fernando Santo’s men will have to go through the FIFA World Cup playoffs to reach the final tournament in Qatar.

The playoffs to reach Qatar will take place from March 24 to 29, 2022.

10 group runners-up and the two group winners from the 2020/21 UEFA Nations League will face off against one another.
