Fullback Meunier powered home a header at the near post from a Julian Brandt corner after 14 minutes. And he then doubled the lead in the 29th by again nodding in another Brandt corner.

This is wonderful news because Meunier had only scored once before in the Bundesliga since joining in 2020.

Haaland then got in on the goal scoring action, to score a brace. The Norwegian quickly peeled away from team mate Jude Bellingham to race into the box. He latched onto a through ball that England international Bellingham timed perfectly for him. And finally, Haaland finished the move with by tapping in Dortmund’s third goal on the stroke of halftime.

As the second half progressed, Ermedin Demirovic pulled a goal back for the visitors just past the hour mark.

Then, Haaland bagged his second goal in the 75th match — his 55th goal in 56 Bundesliga matches.

With this brace, Haaland has now scored 78 goals in 77 matches for the Ruhr valley club across all competitions.

Finally, Mahmoud Dahoud capped a dominant Dortmund display with a powerful shot in the 86th minute.
