In an unexpected twist of events, Paris Saint-Germain is willing to accept Real Madrid’s €180 million bid for Kylian Mbappe. Though PSG rejected their initial €160 million bid in breaking football transfer news, Real Madrid may get Mbappe for €180m.
Mbappe has clarified to PSG’s management that he is willing to leave for free when his contract expires next summer.
In fact, Paris Saint-Germain director Leonardo also confirmed the transfer rumours flying around Real Madrid-bound Mbappe this summer transfer window.
At the same time, however, Leonardo had made it clear that PSG wouldn’t accept less than €200 million for him.
But now, the transfer window is closing, and there is danger of Mbappe leaving as a free agent next year.
So, the club is now considering selling the 22-year-old this summer itself, for a negotiated price, not their asking price.
Breaking Football Transfer News – Real Madrid May Get Mbappe for €180m
Real Madrid initially failed to impress Paris Saint-Germain with a €160 million offer for Kylian Mbappe this summer transfer window.
However, the Santiago Bernabeu camp quickly returned with a second offer that sort of met PSG director Leonardo’s asking price.
Real’s second €180 million bid is urging those in charge at the Parc des Princes to accept the offer.
In fact, they may quickly reach an agreement with Los Blancos so as to move on from the entire saga.
According to Marca, moreover, Leonardo’s wish has been granted, as PSG has already decided to accept the bid.
But they will secure the football transfer only after giving Mbappe one last chance to stay.
Leonardo is prepared to make one final appeal to Mbappe. But we assume that this is in vain because the Frenchman has his heart set on a Real Madrid move.
So, we can safely predict that PSG will instead likely accept Real Madrid’s bid as early as Friday, viz. today.
If PSG do accept this offer, Real Madrid could even announce it on the same day, that is, today itself.
That’s not all, Real may even fly Mbappe to Spain post-haste to sign his contract before the international break.
For years, Real president Florentino Perez has been obsessed with signing Mbappe.
Indeed, he has been waiting for the 22-year-old to enter the final year of his contract. This would be when his asking price will drop to something Perez considers ‘affordable’, which is what may happen exactly.
