Midfielder Tiemoue Bakayoko has returned to Milan from Chelsea on a two-year loan deal, confirmed the official club website.
The midfielder previously played for the Rossoneri in the 2018-19 season, as he made 42 appearances across all competitions. Across these appearances, he scored one goal under head coach Gennaro Gattuso.
The 27-year-old also played in Italy’s Serie A last season, this time at Napoli, where he worked with Gattuso again.
Bakayoko Returns to Milan on a Loan Spell from Chelsea
However, Tiemoue Bakayoko is now returning to AC Milan.
There, the Frenchman will play alongside former Chelsea teammates Fikayo Tomori and Olivier Giroud at San Siro.
He will stay with Milan until 2023, according to the club.
Milan also revealed that there is an obligation for a permanent transfer if his loan stay meets certain specific criteria.
Bakayoko has not played for Chelsea since starting in the FA Cup final victory over Manchester United in May 2018.
