Real Madrid’s summer was always going to be interesting because of how many seasoned players they have on the team. These, and some out of contract, are in danger, because Carlo Ancelotti will approve several summer sales at Real Madrid.
In some shocking Real Madrid football updates, the futures of Raphael Varane and Sergio Ramos appear to be uncertain.
However, fans were not irrational in expecting that it would make sense to retain the full-backs around.
Marcelo is also nearing the end of his career, and Ferland Mendy can be a long-term solution at that position.
Despite the player’s proficiency, however, Marca reports that new coach Carlo Ancelotti might trade the Frenchman this summer.
It would be a surprising decision because he appeared to be a solid player to keep.
But it’s even more surprising because they also need to maintain some consistency.
However, allegedly, Mendy might have a high transfer market value, which is what would persuade Real to sell him.
And the likelihood of Mendy’s sale has grown since Carlo Ancelotti’s arrival, meaning Real must regard him as easily replaceable.
Now, despite our horror at this decision, it would be intriguing to see how much he would get on the market.
Ancelotti Will Approve Several Summer Sales at Real Madrid
It’s also being suggested that Luka Jovic and Martin Odegaard are in danger of a sale too.
This news is surprising as well, given their youth and budding potential.
But if they aren’t rated and the interest is focused on these, it would make still sense for Ancelotti.
If either player departs, it’s easy to picture both of them going on to star at the top football level.
Then, such sales would be horrible for Real in the long term.
However, if they aren’t going to play any of the players we mention above frequently, offering them up on the transfer market this summer makes sense.
So, the football news today at Real Madrid is much more pessimistic from that yesterday.
