Alisson Ramses Becker will remain at Liverpool for 6 more years, at least. Among other news in football today, Alisson extends his contract as Liverpool’s goalkeeper now.
Alisson has signed a new contract that will keep him on Merseyside until 2027, or so we know, at least.
Liverpool, still has a slew of players whose contracts expire in 2023, including Mohamed Salah and Virgil Van Dijk.
In recent weeks, on the other hand, Liverpool has been tying down their stars to new contracts.
Jurgen Klopp continues to offer new contracts to his stars ahead of the new season.
And now, Alisson has joined the two outfield stars in committing his long-term future to the club till 2027, apparently.
Alisson Extends His Contract as Liverpool’s Goalkeeper
Alisson has committed his future to Liverpool, and the Brazilian goalkeeper has signed a new contract club confirmed.
The 28-year-contract old’s was going to expire in 2024. But he has agreed to a new deal that will extend his stay at Anfield by six years to 2027.
Alisson said: “I think I didn’t waste too much time thinking about that.”
“It’s something we just built in those last three years, the confidence, the trust that I have in the club and the club has in myself,” the Liverpool goalkeeper continues.
“Me and my family, we are really happy here. My kids are settled in England, in a different country, but they are growing up in that way.
“So we are really happy. I’m really glad that I can keep going on with my work here, doing a good job here. So, I’m really happy to make this decision – that is not hard for me.”
“We have to set goals and we have to set them high – winning everything that we are playing [for], the Champions League, Premier League, the cups, everything. I think we can start from there,” Alisson said, when the news of his re-signing with Liverpool came out.
Brazilian Alisson joined Jurgen Klopp’s team from Roma in 2018. And he has since established himself as one of the best keepers in the game.
