Paris Saint-Germain have confirmed that midfielder Aminata Diallo underwent an arrest by the police on Wednesday morning. This police action was “following an attack on the club’s players” last week. So, among other news in football today, the PSG player is in police custody after she attacked her teammate.
The news came just a day after Aminata Diallo featured in PSG’s comprehensive Women’s Champions League victory over Real Madrid. And the France international, played 89 minutes in the conclusive 4-0 group-stage win.
French publication L’Equipe alleges that local police, following her assault on PSG midfielder Kheira Hamraoui, then took Diallo into custody.
Allegedly, Diallo was present in the car when Hamraoui, her PSG team-mate, was dragged out of the vehicle and attacked.

Paris Saint-Germain have released a statement on Wednesday, explaining their stance on the incident (the football news).
The club said about Diallo: “Paris Saint-Germain can confirm that Aminata Diallo was taken into custody this morning by the Versailles Regional Police Service as part of the proceedings opened following an attack on the club’s players last Thursday evening.
“Paris Saint-Germain condemns in the strongest possible terms the violence committed.
“Since Thursday evening the club has taken all necessary measures to guarantee the health, well-being and safety of its entire women’s team.
“Paris Saint-Germain is working with the Versailles Police to clarify the facts. The club is paying close attention to the progress of the proceedings and will study what action to take.”
