Italy coach Roberto Mancini is not underestimating the efficiency of imminent opponents Belgium in Euro 2020 at all.

“We will play our football, but with respect for the opponent – we know how good they are. As we have already seen in this championship, there are no easy matches,” stated Mancini to UEFA official website.

In fact, he even said: “Belgium are definitely among the best teams in the world right now, but that doesn’t change much, because every game is difficult at this tournament.”

“We must go from match to match in the hope that we will play the next time,” he continued, about Italy’s game plan.

“We know that we will face a strong team, but we are also aware of our own strengths,” he added.

“I think it is very important, especially for us, because, after all, it is just a game. If we score more goals than the opposition, it will be great at all.”

“We’ll see how things develop,” he remarked, in conclusion. “If something does not go according to plan, we can change something. I am sure we will have a beautiful game and whoever makes fewer mistakes than the opponent will win. It will be a really even match.”
