Everton expected to make few big changes next season

Everton are favourites to avoid relegation amongst the trio of them, Leeds and Burnley. However, the manner in which they lost against Brentford has caused a lot of eyebrows to be raised.

Former Scotland international Alan Hutton who used to play for the likes of Tottenham Hotspur and Aston Villa expects changes from the club. The Scottish Cafu believes there is a lot of mentality change the club could do with, under Lampard. The Scotdman would go on to mention that he believes the Toffees would stay up.

Discussing the mentality of the Everton squad, Hutton told Football Insider’s Russell Edge: “It is a worry. To start so well is everything you want.

“With the change of formation, everything’s going well. Then you just kind of lose your head a little bit.

“A sending off, then another sending off, doesn’t help at all.

“I understand you’re showing great fight and character, you’re doing everything for the club, but you need to keep a calm head.

“This was a massive game for them, at home, to really go and put it to bed. It’s been a very difficult season.

“I still think they’re in the driving seat and I still believe they’ll stay up.

“But it is a worry for Lampard moving forward. He’ll be looking to make some serious changes for next season.”
