Early Premier League Predictions: Part 5/10
Cristiano Ronaldo to leave Old Trafford for Champions League football
Despite several sources from Manchester United revealing a strong interest to retain their Portuguese talisman, including the manager Erik ten Hag. I do not see Ronaldo, who is 37 year old, staying at United as a part of a long term rebuild.
Furthermore, I just could not imagine the Champions League without Mr.Champions League himself. As a result, I do see Ronaldo forcing his way away from the theatre of dreams. However, I do not see CR7 joining any other club in England.
Early Premier League Predictions: Part 6/10
Aleksandar Mitrović to continue his path of destruction
Aleksandar Mitrović in his first season in the Premier League with Fulham managed 11 goals. After another dominant season in the Championship, the Cottagers hoped the Serbian would keep them up in the 2020–21 Premier League season. However, Serbia’s record goalscorer had a disastrous season, with three goals in twenty seven appearances.
There is a lot of expectation from the striker. The Cottager’s number 9 scored 43 goals in 44 league appearances last season. Off the back of an historic season, Fulham are tipped by many to stay up. While I would not put my money on the Londoners staying up, I do see Mitrović shining. Hence, I have backed the former Newcastle man to hit double figures this season.
