Early Premier League Predictions: 3/10.

Trent Alexander-Arnold to top the assist charts

Despite being considered as one of the most creative players in Europe; Trent Alexander-Arnold is yet to take the number one position in a Premier League season. The Scouser; however, has finished in the top three positions in three of the last four seasons.

With the arrival of a target man like player in Darwin Núñez, TAA’s numbers will only set to go higher. With that being said the likes of Robertson and Salah are also set to benefit from the arrival of the Uruguayan. Furthermore, with the arrival of Erling Haaland, Manchester City’s Kevin De Bruyne will surely be up for the challenge. However, I have backed the England international over the 31-year-old.

Early Premier League Predictions: 3/10.

Southampton to go down to the Championship

The relegation picture this eason in the Premier League is sure to be a closely contested one. While the newly promoted Nottingham Forest, Fulham and Bournemouth are most likely to be in the relegation scrap. Everton, Leeds United and Southampton who just about managed survival last season along with Brentford are expected to fight for survival once again.

Despite Everton and Leeds finishing lower than the Saints in last season, the clubs did show stability under new managers towards the end of the season. The same could not be said for the Saints, who were a shambles in the last three months of the campaign. I don’t think Ralph Hasenhüttl or his potential successors would be able to avoid the drop.
