Andrea Dossena has warned that Napoli could be forced to sell Kalidou Koulibaly if they do not qualify for the Champions League.
“It’s a giant challenge to get nine points back from Atalanta so Napoli should not clinch a berth in the Champions League, they should sell some players,” Dossena told Stats Perform News.
And he’s sure Koulibaly would transfer in particular, with Liverpool and Manchester United being a reported target for the defender:
“The two most rated are Fabian Ruiz and Koulibaly. The last is the one most likely to depart. Physically and easily, he’s one of the greatest central defenders and can have a role in the Premier League as well.”
“Klopp has just one item left to complete an astronomic squad and the Koulibaly-Van Dijk pairing could become a major barrier,” Dossena told Radio Musica TV about the player potentially moving to Liverpool.
