Christophe Galtier and Kylian Mbappé give their verdict on the comeback against Maccabi Haifa.
PSG completed a comeback against Maccabi Haifa after they were a goal down. The famous front three of the Parisians got on the scoresheet.
With Messi opening the account late in the first half. The Frenchman got the lead and Neymar finished it with a 3rd, late in the fixture.
Here is what, the coach of PSG Christophe Galtier and Kylian Mbappé, the Player of the match had to say.
Christophe Galtier, Paris SG coach: “We had two or three big situations in the first half, they did too, and they pushed hard in a really good atmosphere. We weren’t well organised, quickly split in two, and that made the first half difficult. Your opponents are always of great quality in the Champions League. We needed to react after a more-than-average first half, notably tactically.”
Kylian Mbappé, Player of the Match: “The conditions were a little difficult, it was very hot, but it’s the Champions League. We came here to win and reinforce our hold on top spot, and we did that. We started quite well, we played with intensity. But then we dropped our tempo a bit and conceded a goal. We reacted well, imposed our style of play, and made the difference. Scoring the second and capping it off with the third.”
“We have to improve, we have to work. We are working, but we need the results to show in our play, because things are going to come around quickly with the break and the World Cup. I hope that all three of us keep scoring as it means that we’ll win matches.”
