Chelsea Star Hudson-Odoi Joins Training despite Arrest over Rape Allegations

Chelsea’s stars are back in a limited small group preparation, with all completing their first round of coronavirus evaluation in mid-June attempts to return to the Premier League. And Callum Hudson-Odoi, surprisingly, is part of this squad.

In Cobham, Hudson-Odoi was seen having undergone a negative examination for COVID-19. This was just days after him being arrested on allegations of rape.

Both Chelsea and Hudson-Odoi are yet to speak since Sunday night’s reports about the arrest appeared. Meanwhile, between Sunday and Monday, 19 of the 20 Premier League teams were tested for Covid-19

For their first return to training after the coronavirus pandemic disrupted sports around the UK and Europe, Chelsea players received their results on Tuesday afternoon at 2 pm.

Chelsea decided to practice at 4 pm after Frank Lampard had told his team to return directly after being cleared. Chelsea even tweeted the moment.

The Blues will still have to obey the strict protocols of the Premier League that were decided for their workouts in a video conference call on Monday.

During non-contact sessions, they may work in groups of five, thus maintaining social spacing.

Training facilities will be disinfected, kits will be supplied to players’ homes and they don’t need to use the locker rooms and designated parking spaces have been allocated.
