Following his performance in Chelsea’s 3-3 draw with West Bromwich Albion on Saturday in the Premier League, Chelsea defender Marcos Alonso was reportedly heavily criticized by Blues manager Frank Lampard.
So now, the Spaniard is reportedly willing to join Inter Milan until the transfer window closes on October 5 this summer.
Alonso still has a deal until June 2023 with Lampard’s side. But due to Ben Chilwell’s return to fitness, Alonso could now struggle for regular minutes.
The three-time international from Spain was also left out of the squad for Tuesday’s Chelsea EFL Cup match with Tottenham Hotspur, which saw the Blues lose on penalties.
So, the 29-year-old is said to be open to leaving the club before the deadline of next week.
Inter boss Antonio Conte is keen on a reunion with the player he managed at Stamford Bridge, according to The Times, while Alonso is also in favor of transferring to San Siro.
