Cercle Brugge have loaned in goalkeeper Radoslaw Majecki from AS Monaco for the season. The deal went through after Thomas Didillon was in turn loaned to Monaco from Cercle.
Cercle Brugge announced: “Goalkeeper Radoslaw Majecki (22) has joined the club on loan from AS Monaco for the season.”
“I am happy to be here. This season is going to be very important for me. I want have more playing time here and help the team to be successful. My first impressions of Cercle are very good. Moreover, Bruges is a pleasant city and the fact that everyone at Cercle wants me to be a part of this project is an important sign,” says Majecki.
The Belgian club added: “Radoslaw Majecki (1.93m) is a Polish international who has played for AS Monaco since 2020. Before that he featured for Legia Warsaw, with whom he became national champion. In 2021 Majecki had an important part in AS Monaco’s cup run that saw them reach the final at the Stade de France. Monaco lost 0-2 to PSG, but Majecki distinguished himself throughout the tournament as a real star.
“Majecki is now on loan at Cercle until the end of this season. Welcome, Radoslaw!”
The Monégasque confirmed the transaction: “AS Monaco announces a loan for Polish international goalkeeper Radoslaw Majecki to Cercle Brugge for the 2022-2023 season.
“The 22-year-old goalkeeper, who became a Polish international in the Monegasque jersey in October 2021 and was part of his country’s expanded squad ahead of the Euros, will be loaned to Cercle Bruges (Belgium) until the end of the season in order to gain playing time and continue his progression at the Rouge et Blanc‘s sister club.
“AS Monaco wishes him all the best in the Jupiler Pro League.”
