Cenk Özkacar has joined Valencia on loan for this season from Lyon. Los che also have an option to make the transfer a permanent deal. This loan fee is said to be €500,000, while the purchase option is fixed at €5 million.
The Turkish international is yet to represent the Lyon senior team. However, Cenk has experience under his belt through his loan moves and in Turkey. He has represented the likes of Bucaspor, Altinordu, Altay and Karacabey Belediyespor.
The €5 million option to buy for the Spanish club is said to be a bargain. As the 21-year-old is contracted with Lyon until 2025.
Los che announced: ‘Valencia CF have reached an agreement with Olympique Lyonnais for the loan signing of Cenk Özkacar until 30 June 2023 with an option to buy the player.
‘Cenk is a left-sided centre-back who stands at 1,90 metres tall and will reinforce the team’s backline and help establish the identity and style of play of Gennaro Gattuso’s Valencia CF side.’
