Bundesliga – Freiburg vs Bayern: Bayern Munich headed into their away fixture against Freiburg on Saturday, six points clear of title challengers Dortmund. A win against a brilliant Freiburg side would put them in a very comfortable position to defend the league title.
The contest started with both teams being rather cautious as a result, a goalless first half was witnessed. Goretzka managed to open the scoring in the 57th minute to give his side the lead. However, it was quickly neutralised through Petersen’s 63rd minute equaliser.
Ten minutes later Gnabry regained the lead. From then on things crumbled for the hosts as they further conceded twice to lose the match 1-4.
Following the result, the Bavarians are still on top of the league. To make matters sweeter, Dortmund lost against Leipzig and as a result, are nine points behind Bayern.
Breisgau-Brasilianer meanwhile, have slipped to the 5th position in the league table.
