A third Brighton player has been infected with the coronavirus, the club said.
“This new, third case worries us particularly because we have taken all the precautions and protections in recent weeks,” said club CEO Paul Barber.
English clubs will decide on Monday the fate of this season and the idea of continuing the championship by playing on neutral ground, most likely Wembley. Brighton and four other clubs are against continuing the championship.
While two have been already reported as infected before, and a third was found positive on a test Brighton conducted at the club on Saturday. The entire team will have to be quarantined, the BBC reported.
The names of the players have not been released.
