Belgium’s Kevin De Bruyne captained his country against England on Sunday, but has since left his national team.
De Bruyne suffered a muscle injury in Belgium’s 2-1 defeat at Wembley, England, on Sunday, and was replaced late.
He has returned to Manchester City for the weekend.
The PFA Player of the Year withdrew from the Belgian squad to face Iceland and returned to the City for treatment by their medical team.
But de Bruyne is set to miss Manchester City’s Premier League meeting with Arsenal on Saturday, brings Mirror.
Sources close to De Bruyne have revealed that the injury is not serious, but is likely to keep him out of the Arsenal game.
Roberto Martinez said, “It was more careful that we had to avoid something, it wasn’t 100 percent.”
City doesn’t want to risk playing him and potentially losing him for longer.
