Begovic Talks about Having Two Years Left at Bournemouth

Goalkeeper Asmir Begovic insisted that in the next few months, he would discuss his position at Bournemouth.

Begovic was signed for £10million by Cherries from Chelsea in 2017 but lost his place in the Premier League last season to both Artur Boruc and Mark Travers.

For Eddie Howe’s men, moreover, the Bosnian international hasn’t featured in more than a year with loan spells at Qarabag Azerbaijani outfit and currently with Italian giants AC Milan.

Asked on Sky Sports concerning his future with Cherries, Begovic said: “I’ve got two years left at Bournemouth. We will discuss that situation in the next couple of months I’m sure.”

Amidst the current crisis disrupting the transfer market, he said, “We will see. I think everything is at a little bit of a standstill at the moment.

“When you are looking at the transfer market and what team’s plans are, the leagues now are all getting restarted.

“Things will become a little clearer and people have a better idea for next year and can make plans.

“The same goes for myself really. I’ve got the loan spell here until the end of the season, which I am going to do my best to help the team be as successful as possible and then we will take it from there.”
